Newsletter 14 February

Greetings once again

The recent rains have brought some most welcome relief to the heat and the drought and let’s hope that this continues

Our quad looking green and welcoming after the rain.

Inter-house athletics

We are in the process of running some basic training for all our learners. This is in preparation for the inter- house athletics but also to ensure that they have an opportunity to participate in a physical exercise program. Your support here is of special importance, and we ask that you make arrangements for your child/children to attend the athletics practices – Primary school on Mondays and Wednesdays and High school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

A reminder that our inter-house athletics meeting will take place at the Piet Potgieter High school athletics track on Thursday 5 March starting at 7am.

Please also note that all learners will be required to have house t-shirts which the school is supplying. These t-shirts are a part of the school uniform and each learner is expected to have one.

V Ball

The V-Ball is scheduled for Friday 14 February. In the past this event has been well supported and proved to be of great success. We look forward to hosting the event at the school this year.

Mrs Els Nel

Mrs Nel recently underwent surgery on her shoulder. I am happy to report that she is on the road to recovery and her return to health is progressing well. I would like to thank Mrs Rowjee for assuming the senior responsibilities at the Foundation Phase in the Absence of Mrs Nel.
