Newsletter 5 February 2020

Greetings

We are now well into the academic program

Parent meetings

I would like to thanks all our parents who took the time out to attend the parent meetings which were held for new Foundation Phase, new Primary and High School as well as a special meeting for our Matric parents.

House T- Shirts

As we evolve into a school of choice in Mokopane we need to make adjustments and improvements to the way we deliver the educational product to our learners. Last year we introduced a house system to the school and this year we will be running a number of inter-house events. It is a requirement of every leaner that they purchase a house t-shirt. We have sourced very good quality garments for a very reasonable price. R60 per shirt for the Primary School sizes and R90 for the High School sizes. All learners must have a house t-shit by the end of February.

Academic Support

Please note that we run a full academic support program after school. Other than our Muslim learners who are excused from this, all leaners who are instructed to attend must do so. Exceptions from this will only be made with permission from the Principal and with a written request from the respective parents.

Lockers

Please note that there are important rules relating to the use of school lockersIt is our expectation that lockers are kept clean.

Learners may not leave food in them.

Learners may go to lockers before and after school and during breaks.  Not during classes.

No sharing of lockers. There will be random checks and learners sharing will be fined.

Make sure you have extra keys for your lockers. Extra keys can be handed in to Mrs. Nel on Monday 3 February and Wednesday 5 February during 2nd break.

Food for thought

Worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere
