Hello all
On Tuesday we would have welcomed you back to the start of the second term. Sadly this is not going to happen. We all know that to stay safe and healthy, we have to stay at home. This applies to you and your teachers. I know that you are worried even a little scared but I want you to know that all your teachers and the staff in the office will do eveything we can to teach you at home.
This is going to mean that we will have to do things differently and not everyone can mange to do all that we ask. You will need to use your phones and home computers if you have them. Your teachers will be communicationg with you and your parents regardingwhat work they want you to do and where to find it.
By Tuesday we will be starting our online program. Baby steps at first but adding more and more as time passes but there have to be some rules –
- Your teachers will be available on WhatsApp, email and sms during normal school time. Please try to only contact them with subject queries when you have that subject on your timetable.
- You will find a copy of the time table on the school website.
- The WhatsApp groups are not for social chatter – if you abuse them you will be temporarily suspended
- You may not use the groups between 9pm and 6am. If you do you will be temporarily suspended
All we ask is that you do you best and try your hardest to stay up to date. We are not going to worry about testing you at this stage and will make up lost time when we are all back together.
I want you to know that I have spoken online with all your teachers and they are all working hard at getting online school in place for you. I have asked them to make short videos so that you can see and hear them as often as possible. You probably know more about online learning than your parents and you need to help them understand that we can do this if we all try hard.
You will hear more from me in the coming days and weeks but in the meantime stay safe and stay at home.
