Dear Parents, Friends and Staff

Welcome Back

The first term really did fly by and the holidays were a most welcomed break for the teachers and pupils. I trust everyone is well rested and we are ready to take on the challenges of the second term.

Term 2 Pressure

This term is a relatively short term with and number of public and religious holidays thrown in for good measure along with the June exams. Parents need to be aware that academic time is now at a premium and that all pupils must be at school unless there are very, very good reasons for any absences.

Staffing news

Mrs Sandra Rhodes left us at the end of last term and Mrs. Natascha Vellema was appointed in her place. On behalf of all our parents and pupils, I would like to welcome Natasha to our family and trust that her stay with us will be a long and happy one.

Mrs Wendy du Plessis has tended her resignation and we are in the process of sourcing and appointing her replacement. I would like to thanks her for her many years of service to the school and wish her well for her future endeavors.

Grounds and buildings

We have discovered a serous termite infestation on our sports field and will be addressing this over the coming weekend. The improvements and renovations to the foundation phase are continuing and we look forward to the time when we can fully access our play area.

Sport – Soccer player continues to shine…

Ayaan Gangat along with Zayan Chaya took part in the Kings of the Court indoors soccer tournament held in Polokwane on the 26th of March 2019. 16 teams participated in the tournament consisting of 5 players and 2 substitutes. Ayaan and Zayan made a team with other players from their community and took part in this tournament. After a long and series of matches, Ayaan and Zayan’s team emerged victorious beating all the other teams. Ayaan was crowned overall Best winning player of the tournament. Congratulations to Ayaan, keep aiming higher!!!

Food for thought

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Brian
