Dear Parents, Staff and Friends
We are excited to announce that the new academic year is fully operational, and we have had a smooth transition for both new pupils and new teachers. We are happy to report that everyone has settled in well and we are off to a great start.
It is my rare privilege to announce the Heads of School and three further recipients of the White Blazer award. We have made the decision to award our senior leaders with White Blazers Congratulations to :
Russel Chakauya Head Boy

White Blazer for Academics

White Blazer for Culture (Participation in National Debate Competition in December)

Please note the following errata to the last newsletter. Ayesha Vahora not only received 7 distinctions, was placed in the top 5% in South Africa for her overall results and was placed in the top 1% for Physical Science. She was also placed in the top 1% for English Home language. A remarkable achievement indeed.
Our athletics program is in full swing, and we have had great participation from our students. We are proud to see so many of our pupils taking advantage of this opportunity to stay active and develop their physical skills.
This week, our testing program for the high school will begin. We want to remind parents and students that it is important to prepare for these tests, and to reach out to teachers if there are any concerns.
In addition, we are offering extra lessons in selected subjects for high school pupils. These lessons are designed to give pupils additional support in areas where they may need it.
We recently held parent-teacher evenings and it was great to meet new parents. We appreciate your participation and feedback, and we look forward to working together to ensure that your children have a successful academic year.
We have undertaken a number of developments to the campus. The archery range has been properly developed and we hope that learners will enjoy this facility. Two generators were purchased to compensate for load shedding in the ECD and Foundation phase whist the initial phase migration to solar has been initiated in the admin office and computer labs with the installation of a 8 KVA inverter and two 5 Kilowatt lithium- ion batteries. This will be expanded as and when funds are available. We have also renovated the kitchen area in our staff room as well as installing more storage options .
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support you and your children.
Warmest regards
Brian Dawson
