Dear Parents and Friends

I hope this newsletter finds you in good health. I am pleased to report that 2023 has started well and there is a very clear sense that we are returning to normal. As we move into the middle of the first quarter the school, clearly, is in a good place and we have a real sense that things are returning to some familiarity. However “normal” is not without challenges but we embrace the demands of the “new normal”.

As always, we have a number of exciting events coming up that we would like to bring to your attention.

Congratulations to our  new Junior Leaders for 2023 .

Vaping
I need to raise my concern regarding the issue of t Vaping, or the use of electronic cigarettes. This  poses a serious health risk to young people. Studies have shown that the nicotine and other chemicals in vaping products can have detrimental effects on the developing brains and bodies of adolescents. Additionally, the use of e-cigarettes has been linked to an increased risk of addiction to other substances, such as traditional cigarettes and habit-forming drugs.

I want to make it clear that our school has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to vaping. Any learner caught in possession and/or using vapes on the school premises, will be dealt with in the same manner as bringing an illegal substance to school and will face immediate disciplinary action.

We look forward to the Valentine’s ball which will be held this evening and hope that the weather plays its part. Parents are requested to collect their child/children promptly at 9pm. As usual once inside the school grounds learners will not be allowed to leave until the end of the social

As always, we would like to remind you to stay up to date with your child’s academic progress and encourage them to strive for excellence. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.

Warmest regards
