Newsletter 25 August 2023

Dear Parents, Friends and Staff

Welcome to this week’s newsletter, keeping you informed about the latest happenings and achievements at our school.

Celebrating Archery Excellence

We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to two of our talented archers who showcased their skills at the Centershot 3D tournament held at Shikwaru Lodge last Saturday. Khumo Mokoena demonstrated remarkable prowess and clinched a silver medal, while Jean Engelbrecht  shone as the MVP of the day. We commend their dedication and success in the world of archery!

Soccer and netball update

Our soccer team engaged in a friendly match against PEPPS on Tuesday, putting up a spirited effort despite a  1-3 loss. Additionally, we faced off against Chris Hani Primary School. Regrettably, the conditions were not ideal, leading us to reconsider future fixtures with this school. Tomorrow marks the final round of Primary School netball and soccer league fixtures – we wish all participants the best of luck!

Debate Excellence

Tomorrow, our debate teams embark on a journey to Polokwane for a debate competition. Our reputation as debate leaders in the province continues to grow, with outstanding results both in high school and primary school levels. We’re proud of our students’ dedication to honing their debate skills and representing the school with distinction.

Anti-Bullying and Safety Reminder

It has come to our attention that a bullying incident was circulated on social media. We want to reiterate our unwavering stance against bullying, intimidation, and substance abuse. The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority. We will actively address any transgressions and take decisive action. Let us stand together in ensuring a secure and nurturing environment for all.

This week, we hosted a highly successful mini cricket workshop that drew significant participation and enthusiasm. It’s heartening to witness our students’ passion for sports and their eagerness to learn and grow through such initiatives.
