Newsletter 10 September 2021

Dear Parents, Friends and Staff

Another week draws to a close and our learners are now approaching the end of the examinations. Our Matrics are nearing the end of their formal school careers and their final examinations loom on the very near horizon.  The formal Matric Prize-giving will be held on the 14th October at school under full Covid protocols.  This will be followed, a day later, with the formal Matric farewell all under full Covid protocols.

Please note that normal school will continue after the examinations from the 17th of September through until the 23rd of September when learners will be able to collect their report cards. Absentees will require the usual notification or face sanction, which might include a delay in receiving individual reports.

I remind you that from the beginning of term 4 all Grade 4 to Grade 6 and Grade 8 to Grade 11 learners must be in full school uniform.  We will     be taking the school photographs at the beginning of the term and only learners in uniform (other than Grade 7’s) will be allowed to appear in those photographs.  Your cooperation here will be greatly appreciated.

In closing, we expect the President to announce a change in the Covid levels and a reduction or easing in some of the restrictions which are in place.  Despite, this there remains a very real concern that a fourth wave of infection is imminent and I urge you to be vigilant and at all times to put the safety of yourselves and your families first. Grade 12 parents are reminded to refer to the letter circulated by ISASA regarding the matric rave.

Please note – Last day of the term for the Foundation Phase learners will be Wednesday, 22nd September.

As always have a great weekend and stay safe.

Brian Dawson
