Dear Parents, Staff and Friends
We are now well-established into the routine of the academic program of the first term. Lessons are taking place in a structured and orderly fashion and we are pleased with the progress that is being made. The 2021 Matric class have returned some very pleasing results but at the same time we still need to focus and add extra effort in some areas. There is a separate newsletter regarding the Matric results on the website for you to read in detail.
IMPORTANT NOTICE : Drop-off and collection of primary school and high school learners
This is a very important notice to all Primary and High school parents. For the efficient delivery and collection of learners to the school it is absolutely imperative that traffic movement in the morning and in the afternoon is in an anti-clockwise Direction on Domba street, the road running behind the school.
Furthermore, parents and other drivers must ensure that a drop off or collection is completed in no more than 30 seconds. Please make sure that passengers have suitcases, lunch boxes etc ready to take out of vehicles when they arrive at the drop-off zone. Please also ensure that if you need to say a protracted goodbye, please do so before you arrive at the drop-off zone. We are exploring ways of adjusting the drop-off and collection zones to allow a smoother and efficient process to occur. However, your cooperation in this is essential for the swift delivery and collection of pupils as well as the safety of pupils in general.
We have placed staff members in strategic locations to assist with the direction of traffic and control. It saddens me to say that on occasion these staff members had been abused by parents who are doing their best to ensure the smooth traffic flow in the morning particular. Such behaviour is unacceptable and I will be dealing with such parents on an ongoing basis.
